Let’s get right to today’s patterns:
Key West Bikini, Tank & Dress
This is one of our newest patterns and is sure to be a staple this summer!
Here are the details:
You’ll be feelin’ fine, livin’ on Key West time….dancing the night away in your handmade outfit! You’re going to LOVE the Key West Bikini, Tank, and Dress!
The Key West is a bikini, tank, and dress pattern. This means that as you change latitudes, you can change attitudes…all with the same pattern!
The Key West Bikini, Tank, and Dress includes:
- Directions for a bikini, tank, tankini, knee-length dress, and maxi dress with built-in bra
- High, gathered neckline with optional keyhole cutout,
- Regular and FBA Bra and Bodice included, which means this can accommodate cups A-F,
- Maternity Bodice ideal for the second and third trimester (first trimester is fine in regular bodice),
- Directions for removable swim cups
- Options for 2 or 3 loops on the back cut out.
- Hem of tank can be hemmed or have a band, and
- Enough room through the abdomen to enjoy all the food and drink you want without feeling like a sausage. Yeah, I said that out loud. This tankini is not a tight fit through the abdomen, so if you’re using it for swim, I suggest the hem band. Want it tighter? Ask for help in the Facebook group! That’s an easy adjustment!
- Sizes XXS-5XL
Fabric Talk:
Bodice requires a fabric with 4-way stretch of at least 50% both horizontally and vertically. Look for fabrics with
‘Lycra’ or ‘spandex’ in the fabric content. Cotton Lycra, brushed poly, nylon spandex swim and heavier bamboo
spandex are all good choices for the tank and dress. For swimwear, definitely use nylon-lycra or poly-lycra intended
for swim. Bands and bindings require a fabric with AT LEAST 50% stretch and MUST CONTAIN at least 5%
Lycra/spandex for good recovery. Yardage is calculated using 60″ wide knit fabric. This does NOT account
for shrinkage, off-grain fabrics or directional/patterned fabrics. If your fabric measures less than 60″ wide, you
may not be able to fit the knee length or maxi length dress, especially in sizes XL-5XL.

Kids’ Rocket Raglan
Here’s the thing… I’m always looking for something super cute for my girls. This raglan pattern delivers all the things I need in a cutesy make for my littles.
Here are the details:
The Kids’ Rocket Raglan is packed with options and is sure to become a wardrobe staple for the kids in your life. Mix and match prints and solids, use a panel for the front bodice, colorblocking on the hood…the possibilities seem to have no end. You definitely want to snatch this pattern up!
The Kids’ Rocket Raglan PDF sewing pattern includes the following:
- Multiple neckline options
- Crewneck
- V-neck
- Lined Hood (sizes 2-14)
- Short, Three-quarter, and Long sleeves each with the option to finish with a hem or cuff
- Multiple Bodice Lengths
- Shirt banded or hemmed
- Tunic banded or hemmed
- Dress length with optional inseam pockets
- See the last image for the yardage and notions required.
- Sizes 0-3m through 14
Fabric Talk:
This pattern requires a 2-way or 4-way medium weight knit fabric with at least 50% horizontal stretch. Brushed
poly, cotton lycras, or french terry are all good choices. Heavier weight fabrics and those fabrics with higher
spandex content will work but will give a tighter fit. Any knit that meets the stretch requirement will work, but
may not give the same results. Yardage is calculated using 60” wide knit fabric. This does NOT account for
shrinkage, off-grain fabrics or directional/patterned fabrics.
