Women’s Sydney Peplum & Dress

This dress has all the things.  It can be very formal, very fun and very sophisticated!  I have so much love for this awesome pattern!

Here are the details:

The Women’s Sydney Peplum and Dress is a fantastic way to dress up your day or get ready for a night out!  Packed with loads of options, you’ll want to snatch this up and get to work.

Options Include:

  • Regular and Full Bust Adjustment (FBA) pattern pieces are both included
  • Lift Up nursing option included
  • Multiple neckline options!
    • The front neckline can be Jewel, Scoop, or V-neck.
    • The back neckline can be High, Low scoop, or V-neck.
  • Fully Lined Bodice
  • Short, Elbow, Three-quarter, and Long sleeves
  • Multiple Skirt Options!
    • Half Circle – Peplum, Knee, Tea, and Maxi Lengths
    • Full Circle – Peplum and Knee Lengths
  • Sizes XXS-5XL

Fabric Talk:

The bodice of this pattern requires a 2-way or 4-way medium weight knit fabric with at least 50% horizontal
stretch. Stretch velvet, scuba, cotton lycras, or brushed poly are all good choices. Heavier weight fabrics and those
fabrics with higher spandex content will work but will give a tighter fit. The skirt requires a 2-way knit fabric with
at least 30% horizontal stretch. Fabric choice will impact how your skirt looks. Light to medium weight fabrics
(brushed poly, bamboo lycra, lighter jersey) will drape and lay closer to your body. Heavier weight fabrics with
more structure (ponte, scuba, liverpool) will flare out more from your body and make the skirt appear shorter.
Any knit that meets the stretch requirement will work, but may not give the same results. Lining should have
similar stretch to main fabric.

Fortunately Sly Fox Fabric has you covered!
