I’m not going to beat around the bush here, I’m here to support all the current and future sewists out there. I have been asked so many times what I would like for Christmas and I always say “sewing stuff”. I’m never prepared with actual products or names of machines. If you’re anything like me you need help! That’s where we come in. We’ve taken the time to list all our favorite things. This Sewist Must-Haves 2018 Holiday Gift Guide is here for you!

I’m going to start with my FAVORITE printer:
Brother JL-L2350D
We all need basic sewing machines. NONE of our patterns require anything more than a standard sewing machine!! It’s great if you want or have a serger or coverstitch(for the record, we’re here to support those too) but our patterns can be made using a standard sewing machine!
Here are a few we recommend:
Brother xm2701
The Brother CS6000i
Brother XR9500PRW
Juki HZL-LB5100
I remember the first time I used a serger. I was in Junior High School and it was life-changing! So, when my husband bought me my first personal one a few years back I was in heaven and I’ll never go back. Not only did it bring back wonderful memories it changed the way I sewed.
Here a few we love:
Brother 1034DX
Juki MO644D
Juki MO654DE
Babylock Eclipse
Juki MO1000
Babylock Ovation Serger/Coverstitch Combo
This may be a discontinued item from Babylock. However, you may still be able to find it other places.
Here’s the thing, if you have a serger the natural next step is a coverstitch!
With that said, here are a few of our favorite coverstitch machines.
Brother 2340CV
Janome 900CPX
Juki MCS-1500
Babylock Ovation Serger/Coverstitch Combo
Here’s how it works, if you love to sew or craft you absolutely MUST HAVE some sort of sewing/craft table! My husband built me an amazing sewing table a few years ago so I thought you might like to see where he got the building plans.

Now that you’ve got a sewing table you need a little more fabric storage. Here are a couple things we use and love!

Basic Shelves
Now, where will you put all your lovely notions? We’ve got you covered there too! This thread rack has come in handy in my sewing room, for sure. My wonderful husband bought me the Large Cantilever Sewing Box for my birthday and I just love it so much. Some gifts are extra special and this sewing box is something I will cherish for many years to come!
