The Women’s Weekender Tunic is a PDF sewing pattern intended for light to medium weight sweater knits.  This is a loose-fit style with dropped shoulders.  Depending on the fabric choice, you could have a cozy sweater, a spring/fall transition piece, or a swimsuit cover-up.  There is also a girls’ version available so you can create the perfect Mommy and me outfit. Check out the Weekender Tunic Bundle for a discount!

This pattern includes:

  • Short sleeve and long sleeve options,
  • Loose and skinny sleeve options,
  • Thumb hole cuffs, hemmed sleeves, or rolled sleeves,
  • Hood, funnel neck, crew neck, or scoop neck options,
  • Placket with lace up detail, and
  • Regular hem, High-low hem, and banded hem options.

Notions are dependent on style chosen, but fabric requirements and size chart can be seen in one of the pictures.  This pattern is intended for a light to medium weight knit with at least 25% stretch.  I originally intended this pattern to be for sweater knits, but any knit with a nice drape will work. Extra fabric may be required to match patterns or stripes or if you need additional length. Need some good ideas of where to buy sweater knit?  I highly recommend the Purple Seamstress on Facebook.  I also had good luck with Urban Rag Trader on Etsy.

This PDF sewing pattern comes in sizes XXS – 3XL. Included in your purchase is a professional tutorial that includes pictures and drawings to help you sew up your new favorite tunic. The files also include professionally drawn pattern pieces formatted for 8.5×11, A4, and A0 printers. PLEASE only use the A4 formatted pattern pieces if you live in a country where the standard paper size is A4!

This pattern has so many options, all of which are a nice quick sew. I’ve made the hooded lace up placket version and also a sleeveless crew neck version for layering. The instructions are great and it is on my list to sew more!

This was my first 5OO4 pattern. The instructions are well put together. I made the placard which was a first for me. I already have two more planned using the different variations.

The Weekender is a great pattern with tons of options. It’s easy and quick to assemble. I fashioned mine into a swimsuit cover, and it is perfect! Thanks for another amazing pattern!
