Description
The Kids’ Weekender Tunic is a PDF sewing pattern intended for light to medium weight sweater knits. This is a loose-fit style with dropped shoulders. Depending on the fabric choice, you could have a cozy sweater, a spring/fall transition piece, or a swimsuit cover-up. This will be part of a fantastic Mommy and Me duo. Check out the Weekender Tunic Bundle for a discount!
This pattern includes:
- Short sleeve and long sleeve options,
- Thumb hole cuffs, hemmed sleeves, or rolled sleeves,
- Hood, funnel neck, or crew neck,
- Placket with lace up detail, and
- Regular hem, High-low hem, and banded hem options.
Notions are dependent on style chosen, but fabric requirements and size chart can be seen in one of the pictures. This pattern is intended for a light to medium weight sweater knit with at least 25% stretch. Extra fabric may be required to match patterns or stripes or if you need additional length. Need some good ideas of where to buy sweater knit? I highly recommend the Purple Seamstress on Facebook. I have also had good luck with Urban Rag Trader on Etsy.
This PDF sewing pattern comes in sizes 2-18.
AS ALWAYS…
This listing is for a downloaded PDF sewing pattern, NOT a finished product. Your download should immediately pop up after purchasing, but you can also log into your account at any time and download the package again. Your downloads will include a professionally drawn pattern with trimless pages and layers.
The pattern pieces included are formatted for 8.5×11, A4 (typically outside of the US), and A0 printers. Please remember to NOT use the A4 pattern unless you are located outside of the US and own an A4 printer and A4 paper. The A0 pattern is specifically designed for large format printing. You have permission from 5 out of 4 Patterns to have this pattern printed at your local copy shop.
The separate tutorial download includes hyperlinks to help you navigate to whichever options you’re interested in doing. It also includes professionally drawn images for each tutorial step as well as pictures for steps that might be a little tricky. We take great pains to make the tutorial as clear as possible! We’ve even included links to our YouTube channel, where you can find video tutorials on certain steps.

This pattern in both the girls and women’s version are wardrobe staples! I made my daughter 3 tunics in 1 week! I made her a great Hacci sweater, slinky acrylic that I layer over a tank and an adorable stretchy lace one. She loves them and reaches for them first! I reviewed the pattern on my website: http://enleedesigns.com/girls-weekender-tunic/
