It feels like summer is off to a slow start over here in the Pacific Northwest, and I have rarely had the opportunity to wear my one and only maxi dress. I am glad it is finally warming up though. Can you believe that I never tried a maxi dress before we tested the Journey? I was shocked to find that I love it and I want more! Ok, maybe *you* already knew the splendid comfort brought by a maxi dress, but now I do too.

Fortunately, Amy from That’s Sew Amy and Ashley from Sewn By Ashley are hosting a maxi dress sew-along. 5 Out Of 4 Patterns is sponsoring; but you can use ANY pattern, hack a pattern, or draft your own.
Need a little more motivation? Use code MAXISEWALONG2016 to get 20% off all patterns. The coupon is good through July 26. One random sew-along participant will be selected at the end for a chance to win a pattern from 5 Out Of 4.
I’m considering making the nursing Versatility tank into a maxi or, possibly, a nursing Lakeshore with an elastic waist and lengthened into a maxi like Jessica has done here? How about you?
Visit That’s Sew Amy or Sewn By Ashley for sew-along details and join their Maxi Dress Sew-along Facebook Group.
Thanks so much for being a sponsor. I’m really looking forward to the sew along.
Love them, how do you think they would look like on a 5′ , rounderror woman? I have always been fit, but due to a bad situation, I am totally out of shape, and worse, I am having a hard time getting things to fit, and not look like l am a lot older than I am.
I am so short waisted, that doesn’t help!
