Welcome to the Camilla Cowl Sew Along Day Three! We’re all set to sew our shoulder seams and side seams! Let’s Go!
If you don’t have the pattern, it’s not too late to jump in. Get your pattern HERE!
I’ve broken up the tutorial into five parts for each day this week.
- One: Print, Assemble and Cut Fabric
- Two: Back Neckline and Pleats
- Three: Shoulders, Side Seams and Pockets
- Four: Sleeves or No Sleeves, we’ll do them both
- Five: Hem and Photos
Today we’re all about the shoulder seams and side seams.
Let’s talk about clear elastic. Clear elastic is recommended for the shoulder seams but it’s use is optional. The reason I use it is to give strength and stabilization to the seams especially if I’m making the dress version as the skirt adds weight that pulls on the shoulders.
