We love our Brand Ambassador Team and we want you to get to know them! This team is comprised of many of our “mega-fans” and they spend a lot of their time helping us promote our patterns. Each ambassador brings their own unique selves to the table and we love watching what they do. So, we wanted to take some time on the blog to highlight one ambassador every now and then. Eventually, you’ll know them all, if you don’t already.
How She Got Started
Sequoia started sewing by teaching herself to make quilts. She became frustrated with the plus-size clothing styles available at stores so she began to learn to make clothing for herself. Sewing clothing to fit her body has been incredibly empowering for her.
She loves that sewing gives her the ability to sew exactly what she wants to wear and that no one else is ever going to be dressed like her.
Sequoia loves to sew with knits because she is all about comfort! Some of her favorite knits are double-brushed poly and Liverpool. Lately, she’s been working with athletic knits and jersey blends to make fun clothes to wear at the gym.
5 out of 4 Experience
She has been a 5 out of 4 pattern tester for years before joining our ambassador team. Her top 5 out of 4 patterns are the Easy Tee, Diane Joggers, and the Annabeth! Between these 3 patterns alone she has sewn at least 40 garments!
More About Sequoia
She is a dog momma to one spoiled little pit bull. Sequoia enjoys sewing of course, but some of her other hobbies include hiking cooking, and working in her garden.
